The .gay team at Top Level Design is thrilled to announce that we just made a $34,400 donation to support vital LGBTQ community services!
Through our business model of giving 20% of new revenue from every .gay name registered, we raised $17,200 for GLAAD and $17,200 for CenterLink during our first .gay Sunrise Phase, which kicked off in February and just ended this past week. Thank you to every registered trademark holder who signed up for a .gay name during this first leg of our launch! Each of you made this community support possible, and we are so grateful for your enthusiasm and partnership.
The second phase of Sunrise has just begun and we are already seeing a ton of new registrations from companies, organizations, and celebrities! The more of you who register your brand’s name now, the more our next donation to GLAAD and CenterLink will be. Not only are you showing your support of LGBTQ communities by adopting a .gay name, but your registration directly helps these crucial organizations save lives.
The general availability of .gay names to the public happens later this year, but if you are a brand manager or own a company and would like to join us in celebrating and supporting LGBTQ people, now is the time to register your .gay name!
In addition to our financial support of GLAAD and CenterLink, .gay is also directly supporting broader LGBTQ communities between April and August of this year by providing access to a limited number of .gay names free of charge. If you are an LGBTQ organization, community group, individual, or small business looking to foster digital pride and connection in advance of the official .gay launch this fall, out team would love to help get you online. We believe there has never been a more important time for LGBTQ visibility than right now.
