Oh hey, gay! Jorge Gallegos (@manchic) here — DotGay's social media guru and all around it, gay! This is my first time here, but not the last, so let's get down to business.

In true .gay fashion, during Pride Month, our socials exploded in rainbow colors - figuratively with me joining the team, duh! And literally with the diverse group of influencers who partnered with us in June.

With drop-dead-gorgeous RuPaul's Drag Race Season 14 contestant Jasmine Kennedie (JasmineKennedie.gay), the always authentic Desmond is Amazing (DesmondisAmazing.gay), the talented Lord Troy (LordTroy.gay), and many others joining the #DotGayCommunity - our Pride 2022 campaign was a total slay!

But don't just take my word for it; there were over 800 new .gay domains that came online during June! Some of those include:

IAmJessenia.gay

LezSeeTheWorld.gay

LexHorwitz.gay

Fab, right?

Our second anniversary is just around the corner, and now that I'm part of the team, it's time to spice things up! But what should you expect? Well, for instance, a fresh new voice, more skin — oh yeah, muy caliente papi! — more giveaways, and overall a GAYER experience. So stay tuned okurrr!!!

I'm so excited about the launch of .gay 2.0, and I can't wait for you to see our new content — it's going to be fierce! If you have suggestions for the blog or questions about the .gay domain, send them my way at [email protected]. I'm not promising I will respond, but I might look at them if you're nice enough. JK!

Have a .gay day - Manchic!

The internet is long overdue for a glow-up, and DotGay domains is here to make it fabulous. In a digital world often dominated by corporate agendas and cookie-cutter content, the .gay domain carves out a bold and unapologetic space for LGBTQIA+ visibility, inclusion, and solidarity. These domains are more than just web addresses — they’re digital beacons for pride and empowerment; not to mention, they’re often small businesses that feed families and provide community support. The internet can be a haven of connection, knowledge, and self-expression, but for many in the LGBTQIA+ community, it is also a space fraught with hate and discrimination. From harmful comments on social media to targeted harassment and misinformation, online spaces often reflect—and amplify—the prejudice experienced offline. As digital platforms continue to evolve, it is crucial to actively foster an environment that prioritizes LGBTQIA+ safety and inclusivity.
