Today, we are bringing you E-EYE'S in this week's .gay Music Monday Feature - an indie artist from Houston, TX, who recently released his edgy new single "Crash & Burn".

If you're a fan of artists like PostMalone and The Weeknd, you will want to listen to his hybrid sound that combines pop music with R&B.

In addition to bringing unique tunes to our ears, he also brings a bold and unapologetic approach as an LGBTQ+ artist in the music industry.

Read our full chat with him below.

What inspired you to start playing and making music?

It’s honestly my love for music, you have to be born with it naturally, in my opinion! Janet Jackson and Prince pushed that creative force within me regarding my inspiration. They taught me that the importance of staying true to yourself is the key to success.

What do you like most about playing music?

The freedom to create whatever I want is the best feeling in the world. The simple fact is that I don’t sound like anyone else, but my true organic self is incredible.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I describe my music as bright, vibrant, inspirational, uplifting, different, and encouraging! My new single, “Crash & Burn,” truly represents that to the fullest.

Why do you think it’s important to be out and proud in the music industry?

Record labels were known for not accepting LGBTQ+ artists back in the day, and that still applies somewhat today; but labels are more accepting of it nowadays. It doesn’t make sense to me to hide who I am for nobody. I’ll forever be bold and unapologetic about who I am. I’m beyond thankful I have the internet to build my fan base without a label making decisions on my behalf. I think that it’s pretty cool overall and important to be out and proud in the music industry.

As an LGBTQ+ artist, what do you want to convey with your music?

I want to convey the message of love and not hate throughout my music. I want to inspire and uplift people around the globe through my musical journey. I want to be remembered for greatness and helping people around the world with a genuine heart. Thank you for this incredible opportunity, it means so much to me! I look forward to talking with you again in the future.
