Alanis's raw and honest approach to songwriting, combined with her emotional performances and dramatic use of rock guitars, really spoke to me. It was like a mix of rock, theater, and pop music that captured my imagination and left me wanting to explore that same level of vulnerability and artistic expression.

I believe that you can see some of Alanis's influence in my acoustic interpretation of Lady Gaga's song "Applause." Specifically, I was inspired by Alanis's unplugged era from her iconic album "Jagged Little Pill." The raw, acoustic, yet electric sound with a dramatic and theatrical flair that is unafraid to be loudly vulnerable is something that I strive to incorporate into my own music.

What do you like most about playing music?

While I may not have extensive training in playing an instrument, I am deeply passionate about the creative process of making music. I find the process of creating music incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. It all starts with a spark of inspiration - a hook, a melody, a concept - that pops into my head and gets my creative juices flowing. Writing and creating music stimulates a creative part of my brain that releases a rush of dopamine, and I find myself completely immersed in the process.

For me, one of the most rewarding aspects of making music is collaborating with other talented musicians, producers, and songwriters. It's an exhilarating experience to bring together different perspectives and ideas to shape a vision that started in my head. I believe that this collaborative approach is reflected in my debut single, "Shit That I Do." This song started with a simple hook that had been bouncing around in my head for almost a year before I shared it with a collaborator. Together, we built upon that initial idea, crafting compelling lyrics and concepts. I then brought the song to a talented performer and rapper, Saint Ahmad, and with his input, we developed a catchy melody and refined the song even further.

But the process didn't stop there. I took the finished product to my friend and music producer, Amir Shoenfeld, who created an entirely new beat and instrumental for the song. The end result is something that I'm incredibly proud of - a fully-realized, collaborative effort that represents the best of what music-making can be.

The EPIC music video for "Shit That I Do" is a perfect visual representation of the creative energy that went into making the song. It's a vibrant, captivating production that perfectly complements the energy and spirit of the music. I'm thrilled with the end result, and I believe that listeners and viewers alike will find themselves drawn in by the energy and passion that went into the making of this song.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

My music is all about empowering and uplifting people and having a blast while doing it. I create catchy pop tunes that feature bold and in-your-face vocals, which really make people want to move. I also throw in some epic ballads that really showcase the emotional range of my voice.

Drawing on my background in musical theater, I love to push the boundaries and create music that inspires people to be their true selves. My ultimate goal is to spread love and respect throughout the world, using my platform to make a positive impact. Overall, my music is an exciting and empowering fusion of different genres, guaranteed to make you feel unstoppable and ready to take on the world.

Why do you think it’s important to be out and proud in the music industry?

In a music industry that has historically been dominated by straight, cisgender individuals, it's more important than ever to be out and proud. By being visible and vocal about my identity, I'm able to create music that truly represents who I am and connects with others who may feel marginalized or underrepresented.

Being out and proud also gives me the opportunity to use my platform to amplify the voices of other LGBTQIA+ individuals and advocate for greater inclusivity in the industry. I believe that music has the power to break down barriers and bring people together, and by embracing my identity and sharing my experiences, I'm able to contribute to that movement in a meaningful way.

Ultimately, I think that being out and proud in the music industry is not only important for my own personal growth and artistic expression but it's also a way for me to help create a more equitable and inclusive society for everyone.

As an LGBTQIA+ artist, what do you want to convey with your music?

My music is all about empowerment and expression, showing that no matter who you wanna bang or how you identify - as a fierce queen or a butch king - you have the right to be your true self and be proud of it. I want to break down barriers and challenge stereotypes while celebrating the resilience and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. With my music, I want to create a space where everyone can let loose, vibe out, and feel accepted for who they are.

When it comes to love, life, and all the messy, beautiful things in between, my music explores the emotional side of the LGBTQIA+ experience - from the struggles to the triumphs, the heartbreaks to the joy. Whether it's a high-energy dance track or a tender ballad, I want my music to connect with people on a deep, personal level and remind them that they are not alone in this crazy world.

Overall, my music is a celebration of individuality, inclusivity, and living your truth - whether that means embracing your feminine side, your masculine side, or any combination in between.
